Melo-Zed is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist creating immersive work across music and film. With a practice shaped by a wide-ranging set of influences, he brings together layered, progressive soundscapes and deeply felt emotion, creating music that is both expansive and unmistakably personal. His work in film has seen him compose for Gucci, BBC, Dazed, BFI and Tate Modern, among others. His score for Wata was awarded Best Music at Fashion Film Festival Milano in 2021. Alongside this, he has worked with artists such as Obongjayar, Ego Ella May, Lex Amor and serpentwithfeet, and produced Cari’s music, including her album Flux. Drawing from Caribbean, West African and British roots, Melo-Zed continues to shape a singular sonic world that explores belonging, identity and collective experience.
