Simon Lam is a producer and mix engineer with a knack for blending infectious R&B, UK garage and 2-step. A drummer at heart, his early influences (Radiohead, Ben Folds Five) fueled his eventual journey into music production. In 2014, he teamed up with his cousin Chloe Kaul to form Kllo, a garage-meets-disco project that’s amassed tens of millions of plays and serves as the ultimate showcase of Simon’s production talent.
Beyond Kllo, Simon’s experimental approach has led him to work with artists like Phoebe Go and Cubsport, while his technical prowess was also behind Charli XCX’s vocals on the Barbie OST’s epic “Speed Drive”. With his new lo-fi project Armlock, a collaboration with producer and visual artist Hamish Mitchell, out in the world, Simon is once again pushing boundaries and evolving his sound.
